Motorcycle Wet Chain Lube - 500ml

MotoClean™ Wet Chain Lube is designed for motorcycles ridden in the real world – from wet roads and daily commuting to muddy trails, adventure riding and enduro.

Suitable for O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chains, the wet formula provides long-lasting lubrication while helping protect the chain against water, rust and corrosion. Its high-cling formula is designed to stay on the chain in wet and dirty conditions where a lighter lubricant can quickly wash away.

How to apply motorcycle chain lube

For best results, apply to a clean and dry motorcycle chain. Spray evenly onto the inside of the chain while rotating the rear wheel, ensuring the lubricant reaches the rollers and links. Allow the lube time to settle before riding and wipe away any excess where required.

Step 1: Before use, wash chain with Motoclean Bike Wash to ensure it is dirt free and dry off.

Step 2: Shake Can Well and evenly apply to all parts of the chain.

Step 3: Allow approximately one minute for lubrication to reach optimised viscosity.

Wet or Dry Lube?

Wet Lube:
Designed for riding in wet, rainy, or muddy environments, wet lube creates a water-resistant barrier that clings to the chain, preventing water from washing it away.

Advantages: Excellent protection against rust, corrosion, and water damage. Stays on the chain longer, even in harsh conditions.

Drawbacks: The sticky nature of wet lube can attract more dirt, dust, and grime, which can build up on the chain over time. Requires regular cleaning to avoid excessive debris accumulation.

Dry Lube:
Ideal for dry, dusty, or sandy conditions, dry lube minimizes the amount of dirt and grit that sticks to the chain, keeping it cleaner for longer.

Advantages: Reduces the build-up of dirt and debris on the chain, making it easier to maintain in dry conditions. Provides smooth performance with less mess.

Drawbacks: Not as durable in wet or muddy conditions, as it can wash off more easily, leaving the chain exposed to moisture and potential corrosion.
